Autistic Environmentalism is the idea that autistic and allistics have different sensory needs and thus should have different environments. For example, autistic people may be sensitive to bright lights while such lights would not phase the neurotypical. In an autistic environment, regulations can be created to control things such as the brightness, warmth, and color of the light.The same thing applies to other sensory simulation such as sound and smell. In an autistic community, autistic people themselves will likely self-regulate to create a safer and more pleasant environment for all.
